If trolling makes one happy, so be it: Kareena Kapoor Khan

Actor attributes online hatred to lockdown boredom

Kareena Kapoor Khan is known for speaking her mind. The Bollywood diva, who is expecting her second baby with husband Saif Ali Khan next year, recently relayed how she deals with trolling and the negative impact the harsh comments that might have on her mental health.

In an interview with The Quint, the Good Newwz star said, "I just feel that the lockdown and pandemic have caused a lot of chaos in people’s minds and we have a lot of time on our hands. So people are just over-discussing, over-analysing and over-trolling things. Everyone is all over the place. Everyone is sitting at home; a lot of people are without jobs."

Further, she said that wants to spread peace and positivity and hopes that people don't get into each other's space. The actor continued, "The idea is that everyone should just be happy in their space and not get into each other’s’ hair. If trolling makes someone happy, then so be it."

However, Kareena is thankful. "The time I got to spend with Taimur and Saif came as a silver lining but there's only so long that you can be at home. You have to get on with work after a while and that's what I did.”

The Bollywood diva also shed some light on the third season of her upcoming show, What Women Want. She revealed that the team will be conducting it via Zoom. "That's the new normal and the whole world has adapted to this new style of working so we thought, why not?"

Talking about shooting for her upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha while pregnant, Kareena said, "I am always told that I have ants in my pants but that's not the case. I just love my job a lot and I like being at work. Had the pandemic not happened, we would have wrapped up Laal Singh Chaddha in April. It just so happened that I got pregnant and this pandemic came along. I had a commitment and I had to fulfill that.”
