QUETTA:

Balochistan’s Parliamentary Health Secretary Dr Rubaba Khan Buledi has hailed the role of tertiary hospitals in improving the provincial capital’s health services.

“The government is fully aware of the problem of human resources and shortage of staff,” she said while talking to officials during her visit to the Bolan Medical Complex Hospital Quetta on Thursday. Dr Rubaba visited different wards of the hospital and reviewed the healthcare services available at the BMC.

She said: “We have to review the number of human resources. The need of the hour is to extend the MIS system at the BMC and we have been striving hard to collect data of officers and staff associated with the BMC.” The parliamentary secretary further told that Balochistan Chief Minister would be informed about the workforce and the infrastructure of the hospital.

She also expressed her satisfaction over the establishment of the Operation Theater and latest wards in the hospital and advised the officials to utilise all resources to ensure quality health services. The secretary also instructed to formulate a long term strategy and work plan for the hospital.
