Commercial plazas sealed as 338 test positive in Hazara

District administration, health departments seal 85 educational institutions, three commercial buildings

The district administration and health authorities in the Hazara division on Thursday sealed several commercial plazas, hotels and schools as 338 new novel coronavirus (Covid-19) cases were confirmed in the division.

The health department of districts in the division said that some 233 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Mansehra, 79 in Haripur, 15 in Battagram and 11 in Upper Kohistan.

Moreover, as part of preventive measures to prevent the virus from spreading, the district administration and health departments have sealed 85 educational institutions, three commercial buildings and six hotels across the division.

District administrations of the region have also imposed a smart lockdown in more than 30 rural areas.

Officials added During the current second wave of Covid-19, the health department has conducted 15,802 tests in district Mansehra of which 1,429 returned as positive.
