Robbers steal Apple products worth £5m from truck in UK

A truck carrying Apple products worth £5m has been a target of a motorway heist, reports BBC Tech.

The driver and security guard were both "tied up" by thieves who then stole the products; the theft took place on the southbound slip road at junction 18 between 19:45 and 20:00 GMT on 10 November, according to the Northamptonshire Police.

The items stolen include iPhone 11s, AirPods, and Apple Watches.

According to the detectives, the truck was driven to Eldon Close in Crick, where the valuable products were transferred to another truck in waiting.

The truck was later recovered in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, where it is thought the 48 pallets of Apple products were loaded into a third vehicle.

Officers said the offenders "drove off leaving the truck driver and security guard behind".

The case is currently under investigation, police want to speak to people who have been offered Apple products an off-market sale.

Police said they want to speak to those who saw "a number of vehicles on the slip road... which may have looked out of place, or who may have dash-cam footage of this area".
