MIRPUR:

Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) government has inked an integrated phased plan for the speedy promotion of tourism in the area with coordination of the private sector and colossal funds are being allocated for fiscal year2011-12.

Official sources told APP on Monday that the state government has invited the national and multi-national entrepreneurs to launch the projects of tourist resorts in various tourism-oriented, picturesque spots in AJK.

Sources said that placing colossal development funds in the new fiscal year, the AJK government has decided to extend every possible assistance and support to the private sector for the promotion of tourism in the area under a recently inked broad-based tourism uplift plan.

Since domestic tourism was gathering momentum with numerous attractions for tourists in various parts of AJK, including the mountainous areas, the available potential could be utilised for maximum uplift of this sector, the sources said.
