Lawlessness: Three policemen booked for kidnapping

RAWALPINDI:
Three police officials were booked for allegedly kidnapping and torturing a man. They kidnapped the Attock native and kept him in illegal custody for a week. The suspects also demanded Rs100,000 in ransom. When the victims’ family could not pay up, the police registered a case against him.
The kidnapped man was produced before the court,which accepted his bail plea. The kidnappers had also beaten the victim with iron rods and sticks, said an official.
