Despite tall claims of the Lahore police of crackdown against aerial firing in the provincial capital, the violation turns out to be so trendy that after men, women have also started joining the league.

In an unusual incident, a woman has been sent behind bars for aerial firing by police on Friday. The aerial firing is a quite usual violation in the provincial capital.

The video of the woman had been circulating on different social media platform until it came into the notice of the police.

The arrested suspect has been identified as Ayesha. She had uploaded a video of aerial firing on social media which soon went viral.

She had fired at least three rounds of the pistol. Under the background music, the woman seemed to enjoy the act. Once the whereabouts of the suspect were revealed, they raided the location and recovered the weapon used in the offence. A case has been registered against the woman for defying aerial firing ban that has been imposed across the province. Detailed investigation on the matter is underway.

Every other day, an incident is reported. On Friday at least two suspects from Shahdara were arrested. The videos of aerial firing become viral on social media. Last week, a suspect was arrested from Shahdara. He also had uploaded a video on social media of aerial firing and dance in a marriage ceremony.
