Divisional Director Ahmed Raza Sipra said on Thursday there was no shortage of wheat flour across the division and the wheat was being supplied to all flour mills and chakkis according to their fixed quota.
He said that the divisional food department was supplying over 1,770 tonnes of wheat to 47 flour mills and 125 chakkis on a daily basis.
He said that all mills and chakki owners have been strictly directed to sell flour on government specified rates or face consequences. Ahmed said the divisional food department has more than 220,456 metric-ton wheat in stock which is sufficient to meet the needs till the next wheat harvest. Detailing about the stock he added that district Faisalabad has approximately 45,293 metric-ton of wheat.
