LAHORE: Health Secretary Dr Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan on Monday directed the executive district officer to nominate a senior official as a focal person to supervise the anti-mosquito spray and fogging in all towns of Lahore. The secretary directed the officers to be vigilant and take preventive measures against dengue. He was presiding over a meeting to review the performance of the Health Department. Dr Aslam Chaudhry, the Health director general, EDO Dr Umer Farooq Baloch and several additional secretaries attended the meeting. He also directed the officials to bring the district coordination committee to work in this regard. Dr Khan said that the presence of doctors and other hospital staff should be ensured and directed that doctors to be courteous towards the patients.
