New school in Bhains Colony under USAID programme
A school was inaugurated on Monday in Bin Qasim Town through the collaboration of Sindh government and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). A non-profit organisation HANDS will be managing the school, which is to accommodate 320 students, under a public-private partnership model.
The school in Bhains Colony is part of the USAID's Sindh Basic Education Program (SBEP) which amounts to Rs25 billion in aid for the Sindh government to set up 106 school buildings in 10 districts of Sindh for 70,000 marginalised students. The SBEP aims to increase and sustain student enrolment in primary, middle and secondary public schools in the province.
