Man kills his alleged would-be assassin
A man killed his allegedly would-be assassin and fled. Police said it was a case of old enmity and both the parties have been after each other for long.
The Taxila police said that Ayaz Mehmood told them that Faraz Gul had called him from his mobile phone and told him that he had killed Rafaqat Ali Shah and left for his tribal home.
Mehmood told the police that Gul said that Shah came to his house armed with a pistol ready to kill him. However, Gul snatched the pistol from Shah and shot him twice.
As Shah was lying on the floor in a pool of his own blood, Gul said he took out his pistol and fired twice at Shah.
He then parked Shah’s motorcycle inside his home and called Mehmood to tell him what had happened. Mehmood said he went to Gul’s house and broke the down the door with the help of neighbours and went inside to see Shah’s body lying on the floor and his bike parked inside.
Police have registered a case and started investigation.
