Absence of traffic wardens cause gridlocks

The entrance of heavy traffic in the city before designated timings is also an issue

RAWALPINDI:

The gridlocks on the main arteries of the garrison city have become a nuisance for the motorists due to the absence of traffic wardens and dilapidated roads.

The office-bound motorists and students are all affected by traffic congestions on different thoroughfares including Misaryal Road, Range Road, Johar Bazaar, etc.

The traffic wardens who were deployed to maintain traffic flow on the aforementioned roads have also been removed. The loader vehicles have converted different spots on these roads as makeshift stands which impedes traffic movement as well.

The entrance of heavy traffic in the city before designated timings is also an issue that motorists have to deal with. The parkings of wedding halls, schools, showrooms, and other businesses worsen the already displeasing situation. The locals of Rawalpindi have demanded the government to ban the entry of heavy traffic during peak hours.
