Head constable’s ‘killer’ arrested

The Azizabad investigation police claimed on Thursday to have arrested a suspect involved in killing a head constable, Fayyaz, during an encounter near Karimabad on Sunday night.

Police sources said the arrested suspect was riding the motorcycle with his accomplice Haider, who was also killed in the exchange of fire.

The police have confiscated a pistol, which may have been used in the encounter, from the suspect’s possession. The seized weapon has been sent for forensic analysis.
