IESCO secures 6,002 dangerous points

The CEO said that the company will take all possible steps to protect its customers and line staff

Of 7,626 dangerous points identified, the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has secured 6,002 points. This was shared by IESCO Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shahid Iqbal Chaudhry on Wednesday.

He said that they secured these points by removing tilted poles and shifting power cables to safe locations. Chaudhry said that a comprehensive campaign to shift power cables and remove tilted poles is underway in the five operational circles of the company.

The process will cost around Rs956 million, and that the company is using its resources for the task, he said.

The CEO said that the company will take all possible steps to protect its customers and line staff.

He also directed all field formations to spread awareness in the general public to avoid construction near or under power installations.
