'Peaky Blinders' season 6 could release very soon
The wait for Peaky Blinders fan just might be over! While the production is yet to announce an official date, seems like it isn't long until the next season of the crime thriller is expected to hit our screens, according to some of the cast.
Paul Anderson, who plays Arthur Shelby Jr in the Brummie-based gangster series, has hinted series six will be on screens very soon. Posting some artwork of Arthur on his Instagram page, the 42-year-old told his 501,000 followers, "Season six #comingfknsoon. Thanking you all for the wait, it will be worth it."
The post sparked excitement amongst fans, who have been eagerly anticipating the new series after it wrapped with a dramatic cliffhanger in September last year. The final few moments of the show see Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) put a gun to his head, as he's grappling with his suicidal thoughts - leaving fans to speculate whether he's still alive.
However, while Anderson is promising we will see more Peaky Blinders soon, it may not be until at least 2021 that we can finally see what's next for the Shelby family.
True fans and the people who’ve recently watched the 5th season of the series will remember that the fifth season ended on a cliffhanger. The director of the hit Netflix series Peaky Blinders told Digital Spy. “It picks up directly. So, the very first image you will see will be back in that field.” He added a few other statements to this statement. Tommy, with a gun to his head. Then, we will move on from there, we resolve that amazing moment – it’s great.”
