KARACHI:

Three children were killed in separate mishaps in the city on Monday.

A boy drowned in a water stream near Sindhi Goth in Manghopir. The body was retrieved from the water and shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the deceased was identified as four-year-old Noor Muhammad.

According to rescue workers, he was bathing in the stream with his brothers when he drowned. The Manghopir police, on the other hand, stated that he fell into the water while his brothers were washing their car there. Further investigation is underway.

Separately, five-year-old Hasan Razzaq drowned after falling into an underground water tank at a house in Mowach Goth. His family refused legal action and took the body with them.

In the meantime, a 10-year-old boy was killed after a speeding car slammed into him near the K-Electric office at Lyari Expressway. The body was shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The deceased could not be identified until the filing of this report.
