Teenage girl allegedly killed at home

Shankiyari police during the initial investigation found a bullet hole in the head of Rukhsana

A teenage girl was allegedly killed by the nephews of her foster father in the remits of Shankiyari police station of Mansehra on Sunday.

According to police Waliur Rehman had adopted 14-year-old Rukhsana Fareed as a child.

On Sunday, Rehman, a resident of Manda Gucha, informed police that Rukhsana had committed suicide.

Police officials became suspicious when Rehman’s statement kept changing whenever they asked him questions.

Shankiyari police during the initial investigation found a bullet hole in the head of Rukhsana and arrested the two nephews of the Rehman on the doubt of killing the girl.

In another incident two motorcyclists, Muhammad Iqbal and Ehtisham lost their lives when their motorcycle collided with a van at Koza Banda. Both sustained serious injuries and were referred to Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbottabad in critical condition where they lost their lives while shifting to the hospital. Two labourers got buried under mudslide in village Thoti of Kohistan.

The two were digging along a hill when earth gave way and huge mound of mud fell on them. Police rescue 1122 and locals have started efforts to recover the dead bodies of Jahanzeb Faqeer and Sher Alam Phoos.
