QUETTA:

The All Balochistan Marriage Halls Association (ABMHA) Vice President Zahir Khan on Sunday termed the government’s decision to close down marriage halls as “unfair and cruel.”

While speaking to the media in Quetta, he said the aforementioned decision has resulted in unemployment of thousands of employees.

“The country’s economy is in a state of disarray and government is making up the shortfall with its stupid decisions,” Khan said, adding that the government’s decision to shut down wedding halls from November 20 to January 31 will impact the people associated with the marriage halls industry.

Strongly condemning the move, Khan said it would leave thousands of employees connected to marriage halls across the country jobless. He urged the government to take full responsibility for the unemployment of employees. “Marriage halls industry was on the verge of collapse due to coronavirus.”
