Sugarcane crushing to begin from Nov 15

DC asked the officials to set up complaint cells at the gates of all the sugar mills

SARGODHA:

Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh directed the concerned departments including the assistant commissioners to complete all the arrangements to start the sugarcane crushing season from November 15.

“All issues should be resolved in advance by calling an urgent meeting of sugarcane growers and mill administrations,” he directed.

He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the District Sugar Board on Sunday. ADCG Bilal Feroze, assistant commissioners of all tehsils, deputy director food and other officers concerned attended the meeting.

Abdullah asked the officials to set up complaint cells at the gates of all the sugar mills and in tehsils of the district where revenue staff is available 24 hours a day for immediate redressal of farmer’s complaints against the mills’ administration.
