Peshawar Zalmai holds cricket trial

The University of Turbat’s Gwadar Campus in collaboration with Peshawar Zalmai and District Cricket Association Gwadar organised a one-day Open Trial Cricket Camp at Gwadar Cricket Stadium under the programme of Paigham-e-Pakistan. Hundreds of young cricketers from Gwadar participated in the trial selection camp. Peshawar Zalmai cricket team representatives Mian Abbas and Farooq have selected 13 young cricketers from grass root level on merit in order to introduce new talent at the national level.

In addition to Gwadar, Peshawar Zalmai had also organised a Cricket trial Camp at the cricket ground of Turbat University in which hundreds of young cricketers aged between 18-25 years participated. These youngsters will be trained in the cricket academy so that they can display their talents in national level competitions.

The cricket camp received massive appreciation from the people of all walks of life.

Professor Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Vice Chancellor University of Turbat and Ijaz Ahmed Director UoT’s Gwadar Campus said that besides academic activities, the University of Turbat is committed in promoting co-curricular activities in this region in order to attract the youth towards positive and healthy activities.
