‘Elements sabotaging Afghan peace process’

The NA speaker said that such cowardly attacks cannot weaken their resolve for peace and stability

PESHAWAR:

Some elements have been trying to sabotage the peace process in Afghanistan, however, they will not succeed in their nefarious designs.

This was stated by the National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser on Tuesday while addressing the media at the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH). He inquired about the health of the injured from the bombing at Jamia Zubairia being treated at the health facility.

He also condemned terrorists’ attack on Kabul University and termed it an effort to derail peace efforts in Afghanistan.

Qaiser said that the people of Pakistan and Afghanistan want peace and stability in the region. The attack on the madrassa in Peshawar, Qaiser said, was a tragic incident. He added that the incident had been vehemently condemned by all segments of society and those involved in the attack were neither Muslims nor humans.

The NA speaker further said that such cowardly attacks cannot weaken their resolve for peace and stability in the region.

The peace process in Afghanistan has become a nightmare for the enemies of peace and stability in the region and that the Pakistani nation shares the grief of Afghans who lost their loved ones in the recent terrorists’ attacks, he asserted.
