Capital may get another 200-bed hospital
The federal government plans to build another 200-bed hospital in the federal capital which will cater to residents from the rural areas of the city.
This was disclosed by Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on Wednesday as he laid foundations for two new roads in two rural Union Councils (UCs).
The Shah Allah Ditta Road will be built in UC-36 while the Chishtiabad Road will be built in UC-46 for a combined cost of Rs80.8 million.
Addressing the foundation laying ceremony, Umar said that the Shah Allah Ditta Road will be completed within three years. He added that the road will help link the surrounding villages in Shah Allah Ditta and boost business activities in the area.
Regarding Chishtiabad Road, the federal minister said that it will be built for Rs 10.3 million and will be completed within two months.
Moreover, he said that the government plans to build a 200-bed hospital in the rural areas of the federal capital, along with four BHUs, an additional block of the Poly Clinic in NA-54.
