Police have arrested an alleged child snatcher and returned the infant to his parents.
Rehman Ali told the Race Course police that his wife, Shabnam Bibi, went to see the doctor with his sons Hareem and Hamza as the latter was sick.
She hailed a rickshaw got on. The suspect was already sitting. As she began chatting, Shabnam told the suspect about her son’s illness. Upon the suspect’s insistence, Shabnam handed Hamza to her.
When the tri-wheeler reached Misriyal Road, the suspect asked Shamim to come with her to a nearby pediatrician.
They started walking but suddenly the suspect ran away with the child.
