Covid-19 claims six more lives in Punjab
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed six more lives in Punjab while 232 fresh infections were reported on Wednesday.
The spokesperson for Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department said the number of coronavirus cases in the province exceeded 103,310 whereas, so far, the total number of deaths in the province exceeded 2,342 altogether.
The P&SHD confirmed that 121 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, 43 in Rawalpindi, one in Jhelum, three in Gujranwala, two in Sialkot, five in Gujrat, two in Faisalabad, 24 in Multan, one in Vehari, one in Sargodha, two in Mianwali, one in Khushab, two in Chiniot and one in Jhang,
Moreover, 10 virus cases were reported in Bahawalpur, one in Muzaffargarh, two in Okara and five new cases in Bahawalnagar district during the last 24 hours.
The health department conducted 1,555,123 tests for Covid-19 so far while 97,384 confirmed cases recovered all together in the province.
The department officials urged the citizens to follow SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks.
