Adele’s hilarious SNL stint reminds fans why she has 15 Grammys
Adele left her fans in fits with her Saturday Night Live hosting this week, 12 years after she made her debut as a musical guest, according to the Dailymail.
Baffled by her many talents, viewers flooded Twitter with praise for the powerhouse. Many hailed her as their newest found 'comedy legend' and tipped her to win an Emmy award for poking fun at her seven-stone weight loss. The singer opened the programme by saying she brought 'half of me'.
The Hello hitmaker addressed her slimmed-down appearance by stating, "I know I look different than when you last saw me, but because of the Covid restrictions I had to travel light and bring only half with me, so this is the half I chose."
Social media users the reprised comments on her new look - which has reportedly been a result of following a 1,000 calorie a day diet and upping her exercise. "Adele really said “New body, who dis?”
"SNL may be over but i will never stop talking about how much adele served tonight. To be honest, I still cant accept this slim version of her," tweeted another.
"I will take any opportunity to celebrate Adele. I just hope we reserve the same obsessive enthusiasm for her new music as we do her weight loss," expressed one more.
In one skit, the media personality played a contestant on The Bachelor, breaking into a song and irritating the other contestants. While in another sketch, she transformed into a ghost and haunted a mansion while comedian Pete Davidson followed her around.
Adele - who has been nominated for both Daytime and Primtime Emmys for musical performances in 2016 - caused Twitter users to pen, 'She is coming for the EMMY of Best Actress in Comedy Series. ADELE ON SNL."
The micro-blogging site also exploded with cheeky posts requesting the singer to release her highly-anticipated fourth studio album.
