CCPO directed to produce maid before court

Girl is part of gang involved in looting people

LAHORE:

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) to produce a girl before court after recovering her from a gang that used girls as domestic workers and then looted their employers.

As the proceedings commenced, the petitioner’s counsel Abid Hussain Khichi told the court that several FIRs have been registered against the gang being run by Ameer alias Naseer, Rasheeda bibi, Shazia and others. He told the court that aforementioned suspects used to send girls as domestic workers to different families.

They would take an advance amount ranging between Rs50,000 to Rs100,000. Later, the gang members would request the employers to allow the girl to attend the last rites of one of her relative.

The girl employed as domestic help would steal valuables from the house and never return. The court had ordered Chungh SHO to produce the girl Gulnaz bibi working with a family.

The family (petitioner) claimed the girl Gulnaz stole Rs84,000 and other valuables. While another complainant Ayesha Mustafa claimed that the same gang also provided them a girl who also stole valuables from her house. Following a query, Justice Farooq Haider snubbed the SHO Chungh over not producing the girl.

Meanwhile, the judge directed the CCPO to get complied the court order and produce her after recovering her either from petitioners or respondents by next date.
