Three accused agree to bargaining of Rs50m
Three accused agreed to a bargaining of Rs50 million in an accountability court of Islamabad on Thursday in the Sindh Bank fake accounts case.
The investigation officer, NAB prosecutor and accused appeared before judge Muhammad Azam Khan who heard the case.
The NAB prosecutor informed the court that the accused had caused a loss of Rs50 million.
The NAB official stated that Irshad Iqbal was a nominated as accused while investigation against Shahzaib Mehmood and Zulfiqar Ali continued.
The court was told that the accused had purchased a land and later borrowed loan from the bank through Omni Group after showing the value of the property more than its original worth.
It was further informed that the accused had agreed to bargaining and returned the amount and that the NAB chairman had also granted approval in this regard.
The prosecutor requested the court to approve the NAB’s decision of bargaining, which it did, after asking a few questions from the accused.
