Shahid Afridi pens heartfelt note for wife on 20th anniversary

Former cricketer shares he's 'blessed to have an understanding and caring partner'

Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi took to social media and shared a heartfelt message for his better-half on their 20th anniversary. The former captain shared two pictures from their lowkey anniversary celebrations and wrote, "Today marks 20 years of marital bliss."

Afridi went on to add, "Alhamdulillah blessed to have a life partner so caring, understanding and a wonderful mother to our children. Despite me forgetting our anniversary today. she still forgave me; another one of her beautiful qualities."

Afridi is married to his maternal cousin Nadia Afridi and has five daughters: Aqsa, Ansha, Ajwa, Asmara and Arwa.
