PESHAWAR:

The provincial government has decided to launch an entrepreneurship programme for women living in the merged tribal districts.

For this purpose, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has designed a special programme under the Accelerated Implementation Programme (AIP) for the fiscal year 2020-21, on job creation and income generation for women in the merged areas.

The ‘Women Entrepreneurs Shining Through Constraints’ project will be piloted in two merged tribal districts. It will identify and train community-based female leaders who will manage a women’s enterprise group comprising 20 to 30 members around targeted sectors.

In this connection, a workshop was conducted on Tuesday in the provincial capital on the special emphasis programme to discuss the proposed interventions, map resources offered by various departments and organisations.
