Six constables restored as DIG vows accountability

DIG Saleem restored four lady constables and two constables to their posts

ISLAMABAD:

Atleast six constables were restored to their posts on Wednesday even as senior police officers promised that they will continue the process of accountability and performance reforms in the department.

This was stated by Islamabad Police DIG Headquarters Muhammad Saleem on Wednesday while holding a weekly Town Hall for police officers. He reviewed their appeals and the disciplinary action taken against them.

After listening to their augments, DIG Saleem restored four lady constables and two constables to their posts. Moreover, the penalties imposed on 14 officers were altered. At least a dozen policemen appeared before DIG Saleem with transfer related issues.
