Two bullet-riddled bodies found

Police have registered a case and started the investigation

RAWALPINDI:

The bodies of two youngsters sprayed with bullets were recovered by the police from a field beside the railway track in the precincts of Wah Cantt Police Station on Monday. A police official said that the victims were identified as 25-year-old Kamran, whose hands were tied behind his back, and 16-year-old Memona. The bodies were recovered in the field beside the railway track near the Picket-5 in the Bhensi area, police officers said adding that it was most likely that they were killed somewhere else and then the bodies were dumped here. Element of so called honour killing could not be ruled out, they said. Both bodies have been shifted to the hospital for an autopsy while the forensic experts have collected evidence from the incident site. Taxila DSP Tahir Kazmi said that 11 bullet wounds were found on Kamran’s body and three on Memona. He added that the victims were the residents of the same area and could have been killed over personal enmity. Police have registered a case and started the investigation.
