ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad Police Inspector General Aamir Zulfiqar on Monday reviewed new patrolling measures and plan for community policing introduced to combat crime in the city with the support of the citizens.

DIG Operations Waqaruddin Syed briefed the IGP about future strategy of the capital police.

The police have introduced ‘street watcher system’ with an objective to enhance cooperation between police and public to curb crime.

Watchers will be deputed on streets to assist police in curbing crime by informing police of suspicious activity in their respective areas and keep a vigilant eye.
