Power outage disrupts water supply

At least 100 million gallons of water could not be supplied to various parts of the city as a result of the disruption

Water supply to several areas of the city was affected due to a prolonged power outage at Dhabeji Pumping Station on Sunday night. Moreover, a 27-inch diameter water pipeline burst due to the power cut. Karachi Water and Sewerage Board managing director Asadullah Khan directed the relevant authorities to start repairing the pipeline. “Water supply will be restored from the pumping station as soon as the power supply is restored,” he claimed. He appealed to the citizens to use water carefully due to the suspension of water supply. According to sources, at least 100 million gallons of water could not be supplied to various parts of the city as a result of the disruption.
