Nadal won his 20th Grand Slam title on Sunday

Rafael Nadal tied Roger Federer with 20 Grand Slam titles by producing a victory against world no. one, Novak Djokovic in the French Open final on Sunday. Nadal defeated Djokovic 6-0 6-2 7-5 to claim a 13th French Open title and move level with Federer for the first time in his career. The win is being hailed as 'one of the greatest achievements in sports.'

Given the stakes involved in the match for Nadal along with the stellar performance he gave, fans across the world including in Pakistan were on the edge of their seats throughout. Actor Osman Khalid Butt took to Twitter to express his excitement over the match and praise Nadal on the big win.

"What a thrilling final set. Edge-of-your-seat stuff. What a match, Rafael Nadal you GOAT," said Butt.

The Ehd-e-Wafa actor also went on to share the congratulatory note, Federer wrote for his longtime rival. "This choked me up a little," Butt said about the note. "Though no record can take away what Federer has done for the world of tennis. How he's elevated it."

In his note, Federer talked about the respect he holds for Nadal. "I have always had the utmost respect for my friend Rafa as a person and as a champion," Federer, who already owned four Grand Slam titles when Nadal won his maiden French Open title in 2005, said on Twitter. "As my greatest rival over many years, I believe we have pushed each other to become better players. Therefore it is a true honour for me to congratulate him on his 20th Grand Slam victory."
