Two women, minor allegedly raped

Police register cases under sections 376 and 377 against nominated accused

JARANWALA:

A man allegedly raped his sister-in-law while a woman and a 15-year-old boy were sexually assaulted on Sunday.

Police registered separate cases against the accused and arrested two of them.

According to a police report, the 26-year-old wife of Saleem, a resident of 214RB in Saddar area was alone in her house when her relative named Shaan barged in and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint.

When the victim shouted, the people of the neighbourhood gathered, caught Shaan and handed him over to officials at the local police station.

According to another police complaint, Mohsin’s 28-year-old wife was assaulted at her home in village 131GB by her 22-year-old brother-in-law Shehroz Ajmal. Police reached the spot and arrested Ajmal.

According to the police, the accused is a drug addict and he was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile, a 15-year-old student, a residet of 67GB Jhag Road, was taken to nearby fields by on Lucky Jutt and three others where they allegedly gang-raped him. Police registered separate cases under sections 376 and 377 against the nominated accused.

Lately, cases of sexual abuse have been on the rise in the area. In September, three men severely injured a woman who resisted their attempt to rape her four-year-old daughter. Tandlianwala police shifted the woman to a hospital and registered a case.

Three other cases of sexual assaults on children were also reported in different areas of the city.

In Mumtazabad neighbourhood on the suburbs of the city, a minor girl was reportedly taken by the accused Salman and his two accomplices to fields near her home, where they tried to rape her.
