One killed, 22 injured in bus accidents
One person was killed and 22 others injured in separate accidents of passenger buses on the Indus Highway and Thana Bula Khan Road on Sunday.
According to the police, a bus headed from Thana Bula Khan to Hyderabad fell into a ditch after its brakes failed, leaving one passenger dead and 15 others injured.
The deceased was identified as Mammu Manganhar, 60. Some of the injured were shifted to Thana Bula Khan taluka hospital while those with critical injuries were shifted to Liaquat University Hospital in Hyderabad.
Separately, two buses collided on the highway near Amri village, injuring seven passengers. One bus was headed to Sehwan from Karachi while the other was going to Jamshoro from Dadu.
The injured were shifted to government hospitals in Sehwan and Qazi Ahmed town in Shaheed Benazirabad district. At least three passengers were said to be in critical condition.
