Prisoner murdered in court

An armed assailant gunned down a prisoner in court premises in Tangwani, near Shikarpur, on Saturday. The prisoner, Maula Bux Choliani, was produced in court, where Wilayat Choliani opened fire at him, killing him on the spot. The police arrested Wilayat, who told them he killed Bux to avenge his brother’s murder. Six policemen, including an ASI, were later suspended over the incident. Meanwhile, Bux’s relatives staged a demonstration against the killing, demanding that the relevant authorities take stern action against the policemen and provide justice to the family.
