RAWALPINDI:

The world is moving fast by adopting advanced food technology, replacing the conventional and traditional methods, but the reluctance of some to let go of the old methods is rendering Pakistan uncompetitive in the global market.

This was stated by speakers during a seminar on "Global Trends for Food Professionals" at the Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR).

Acadian Seaplants Ltd (ASL) Senior Director Nasir Hameed said there is a large gap between education and the professional field here.
