Covid-19 patient dies, 91 new cases reported

The number of infected patients has reached 17,009

ISLAMABAD:

A patient of novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) died in Islamabad on Thursday, while 91 fresh cases were reported during the last 24 hours.

The infected people include 49 men and 42 women. It was the highest single-day count for Covid-19 infections in a day in Islamabad following the relaxation in the restrictions by the government.

According to the District Health Office (DHO), after the end of the lockdown, the highest number of cases were recorded in Islamabad on Thursday. According to the report of DHO, the number of people affected by coronavirus in Islamabad has exceeded 17,000.

The number of infected patients has reached 17,009 out of which 16,213 have recovered while 184 have died. According to DHO there are currently 539 active cases of coronavirus in Islamabad. At the peak of the pandemic, there were over 3,000 active cases in the capital.
