SIU arrests bank robbery suspect in Karachi

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested a suspect involved in a bank robbery. According to SIU SSP Haider Raza, the arrested suspect, Syed Kashif Ali, had gone into hiding after looting Rs2.7 million from a private bank on Ghulam Shabbir Usmani Road in Gulshan-e-Iqbal along with his accomplices. A case had been registered for the bank robbery at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station. Raza added that the prime suspect, Muhammad Ali alias Ali Chota, had recently been arrested and Rs500,000 was recovered from his possession.
