RAWALPINDI:

The provincial government has approved Rs0.5 billion for the remodeling of Ammar Shaheed Model Chowk.

The project would be carried out by the Chakala Cantonment Board (CCB) which was transferred to the civic body by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).

Punjab Cabinet Standing Committee on Finance and Development has granted approval of funds for the scheme while the Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Board has issued a letter to the CCB too.

Following the release of funds, the CCB would acquire a feasibility study design and consultancy report from the RDA. The completion of the project would smoothen traffic flow to Ammar Chowk from different link roads in the city.
