Municipal officer killed in ambush

A taluka municipal officer (TMO) was killed while a union council (UC) secretary was injured in an ambush on Monday. According to the police, unidentified assailants attacked the car of Tando Ghulam Hyder TMO Aijaz Shaikh, killing him and injuring UC secretary Suleman Khoso. The incident occurred in the remits of the Abad police station. The deceased and the injured were shifted to a local hospital. The police have initiated an investigation but an FIR was not registered till the filing of this report. Taking notice of the incident, Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah has directed the relevant SSP to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested.
