Road near Kohinoor Mills to be repaired
Potholes which have developed on the highway near Kohinoor Mills in Rawalpindi will be filled soon. This was stated by the National Highway Authority (NHA) Member PLanning Naveed Wahla during an e-kachehri at the NHA head office. Responding to questions received through NHA’s official Facebook page and other means, Wahla said that maintenance units of NHA have started work on the repair and maintenance of roads which were affected by the recent spell of heavy rains. In this regard, maintenance of potholes on the Kohinoor Mills road will start soon. Speaking about the rate of no-objection certificate (NOC) for NHA Right of Way (ROW), he said, income received from the NOC’s and toll plazas is used for the maintenance of the extended road network. He added that the NHA is working to enhance the resources which help generate funds. Documentary work is being completed for undertaking the Sukkur-Hyderabad motorway, he added. Moreover, an advertisement has been published for the appointment of a consultant on Multan-Muzaffargarh Road.
