The roundtable aims to listen from PPAF and other key actors

ISLAMABAD:

A roundtable meeting was held between the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) on Thursday to review effective methodologies on developing remote communities.

The roundtable, held within the framework of the Sustainable Development Festival 2020, was held online and was chaired by the Italian Ambassador Andreas Ferrarese to highlight how the Italy-Pakistan Development Cooperation Programme has worked on remote community development, through a series of initiatives such as PPAF’s Poverty Reduction Programme and the Debt Swap. Further, the roundtable aims to listen from PPAF and other key actors of the Italian-financed and co-promoted initiatives with the Pakistani government and its provinces, about innovative methods which were worth analysing and sharing for fostering remote communities’ self-development, for a better quality of livelihood.
