‘Set up swimming spots with life guards’

Rescue 1122 life guards rescued 314 drowning victims

RAWALPINDI:

Drowning incidents during picnics can be prevented if the government dedicates particular spots for swimming and water sports and deploy trained lifeguards there, said Rawalpindi District Emergency Officer (DEO) Ali Hussain. Rescue 1122 life guards rescued 314 drowning victims since commencement of Water Rescue Teams. These emergencies can be reduced by providing the swimmers dedicated places for swimming activities with necessary arrangements for Rescue Life Guards.
