Provincial corruption watchdog axes 12 officials

DG Nafees said that ACE has to be cleaned too for culling corruption in society

The provincial anti-corruption watchdog has terminated the services of a dozen employees allegedly found involved in corrupt activities and nepotism.

The Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Director General (DG) Gohar Nafees issued orders to terminate the services of 12 employees and lodge FIRs against the officials. These officials include Sub-Engineer Faheem Bhatti who was deployed in Sahiwal, Junior Clerk Waseem, Stenographer Abdul Ghaffar in Faisalabad, Constable Shafiq Ahmed, and three officials deployed in the Sargodha region including policeman Imran Raza and Junior Clerk Ishtiaq Ahmed.

Six other officials including a woman were also dismissed from service due to prolonged absence.

DG Nafees said that ACE has to be cleaned too for culling corruption in society.
