10 die in road accidents across Punjab

At least 10 people were killed while 933 others sustained injuries in 828 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of the total injured, 555 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals whereas, 378 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site. The majority of RTCs, around 68%, involved motorcycles. Furthermore, the analysis showed that 372 drivers, 28 underage drivers, 131 pedestrians, and 440 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes. The statistics revealed that 193 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 203 persons, placing the provincial capital at the top of the list followed by 77 RTCs in Faisalabad with 89 victims and Multan at third with 66 RTCs and 69 victims. The details further revealed that 943 victims were affected by RTCs including 785 male and 158 female victims.
