Senior citizen’s murder solved
Police in Peshawar has solved the murder of a 61-year-old man in the Khazana village on the outskirts of the provincial capital as the result of a monetary dispute. A suspect from Rawalpindi has now been booked for the murder. Police said that Abdul Latif was a rickshaw driver and had shifted from Rawalpindi to Peshawar two months ago and had taken to selling chickpeas. A few days ago, two armed motorcyclists approached him in the Chargano area of Khazana village, where the victim had rented a house, and shot him dead. The victim’s son had later told police that Latif had bought a rickshaw on instalments from Shahid Iqbal but he could not repay the money due to which the suspect had threatened to kill him.
