136 outlaws held, weapons seized
Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit (PRU) of Lahore Police, in their crackdown against criminals, arrested as many as 136 outlaws and seized narcotics and weapons over the last week.
The police wings also seized 20 pistols, four rifles, one pump action, 21 magazines, 270 bullets and more than Rs44,000.
Dolphins Squad SP Rashid Hadayat, while giving details of the weekly performance of both wings, informed that crime fighters of Dolphins Squad and PRU also seized narcotics including 19 bottles of liquor, one beer can, more than 0.5kg of hashish and heroin from the lawbreakers.
They showed immediate response to the all 725 calls received on helpline 15.
The police wings also helped as many as 148 citizens on different roads of the city. Dolphin Squad and PRU during patrolling checked 2,942 vehicles, more than 139,000 motorcycles and 139,394 persons.
As many as 139 motorcycles, seven vehicles and 233 persons were impounded in different police stations due to incomplete documents.
As many as two cars, 14 motorcycles, seven mobile phones were recovered during the anti-crime drive. Dolphin Squad and PRU also arrested 28 criminals for violating one wheeling and three for aerial firing.
