MWMC to launch ‘Waste Energy’ project

Board also gave approval for establishing human resource, procurement and audit committees

MULTAN:

Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) will launch the ‘Waste Energy’ project in the district.

This was decided in the MWMC Board of Directors meeting presided by Deputy Commissioner Aamer Khattak on Sunday. MWMC Chief Executive Officer Latif Khan told the meeting that paper work for the project concerned was underway.

“The company’s BoD has also given approval of revenue generation plan for company’s financial self-sufficiency. This revenue generation plan will be sent to Punjab government for final approval.”

The board also gave approval for establishing human resource, procurement and audit committees and recruitment on all vacant posts. The rationalisation of all vacant posts will be completed.

Speaking on this occasion, the DC said that procurement committee will be authorised for approval of all types tenders and procurement of machinery. “The services of expert firm will be taken for internal audit of the company.
